It's a bad idea to try and be high res, here's why!

Posted on May 3rd, 2009 by Alan : Life to life. Alan
Paraphrasing a beautiful text:

"You are entitled to work, but you are no entitled to the fruits of your labor.  Labor done to attain its fruit is suspect."

To switch it up:

"You are entitled to have the ability for high resonance actions: but you are not entitled to the resonance.  Actions done in order to attain a high resonance is suspect."

In other words... if you're doing something in order to be "high resonance--"  singing a song, being nice to someone, whatever-- are you doing it with your heart, or is your heart set on attainment?

The action suffers...

And as a result, the resonance expected is not the resonance the action has, or brings.

As a result, an imbalance occurs... between the resonance dreamed of in the mind, and the resonance existing in the light comprising one's matter, mind, and energy.

Imbalance is not high resonance.

If you wanna be high res, you're so better off learning to smile, and love, than trying to seek it...

Seek love, and you shall find all.

You mean this one?

Yeah, I love the lyrics.  Especially the part about stepping into the light.  So true.

Interesting.  So this means that if you are trying hard to resonate with something, you only resonate with the selfish part of the action, rather than the action itself?  That's nice to know…  =)  I suppose though, that in order to reach that resonance, that trying to achieve it is the first step until it becomes nature rather than force and understanding flows more freely.  =)

Yeah, I suppose.  It's like high school, I guess… (gaia– har)

Most everyone in high school is trying very hard to be cool and sexy.

Of course, TRYING to be cool and sexy is

Niether Cool,

Nor Sexy.

Why?

Because a state– such as coolness, sexiness, or high resonance– is a state, not an action.   But we can't do states.  We can only do actions.

Eventually the sophisitcation of letting go happens… those who can let go of their own coolness or sexiness in high school are usually ahead of the curve…

Eventually most learn non-attatchment to these desired states…

Not so (yet) on earth, with the states known as “enlightenment” or “high resonance.”

The icelandic supermomma hiding in plain site has this to say on the subject, I think…  : )

There is no try, only do.  :D

Oh, I also take it this may be another of the multitude of benefits from meditation as well?

Becoming more true to what we would like to express by removing thoughts/actions far-removed from our own purity of being?
