"My cat's name is mittens":
is it a humerous non-sequitor, or a Koan of awesome levels of enlightenment?
I want to see responses, people... and I want to see them NOW.

(Answer to the question I imagine readers asking: "no, I havent' lost it completely at all, thanks for asking. It's just that I've been far to serious on gaia recently. I want to have some fun, damnit. And secretly, I'm hoping Nicole will put this on the God-pod. ... What? What do you mean, it's not god-pod material? Aw... comeone Nicole... what are you, a party-pooper??")

right! you've thrown down the gauntlet and I unable to resist have crossposted to God Pod fame :):)
my vote is - both!
bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha
*puts on evil genius hat*
:):) you knew i couldn't resist, o devious one!
I would submit that it is not a non-sequitor because it did not interrupt a sequence with a new thought - it's the start of its own sequence of thinking. I think that it is simply a statement that should be taken at face-value unless you are asking us in some way to prove you wrong .., or come up with a counter statement.
My cat's name is Paris. We also have one named Singapore and a third named Vanilla Bean. (I'm actually serious, those are the names of our cats).
Our rats are named Isis and Lydia.
Ohhhh, wait. I take that back - now actually reading the name of the blog it is a non-sequitor. Nevermind!
No, this is good! But wait– Vanilla bean, the cat– is he or she a living non-sequitor? Does she seem to mind that her cat buddies are named for fantastic and 'important' world cities, while she's named for a flavor of ice-cream? : D
Somewhere, master ralph smiles…
*don't take this seriously, for the record, I am not insulting your pet names*
I take issue with the fact that your rat is named 'Isis'! That is my ancient Egyptian name… in sequence or NOT! hahahha Alan is going to love this ROFL
yeah, I laughed pretty hard. This ralph thing keeps giving and giving
ROFL …. yes, actually Vanilla Bean does have a bit of a complex. My brother gave her to me and he mis-heard the prior owner's name “Penelope” … so Vanilla Bean stuck.
Awww, Sherri, don't take issue with Isis. Rats are some of the most revered creatures by ancient cultures. They are very smart, clean and extremely well-mannered. Besides, it's the Year of the Rat! Lots of opportunities and wealth out there for us.
I say we build a shrine for Isis (the goddess) and Isis (the rat) so we can celebrate them both!
lol Yeh I did see that in the Chinese Astrology, which I do find to be pretty much on 'point'. I'm a Boar myself ;( Ok, I'll take the shrine, if you insist! How could I refuse that?
Thanks friend, sherri
who's cat?
