Will fluffy turn on us, too?

I've noticed a disturbing trend recently of animal attacks on people.  The latest article is here:

http://www.slate.com/id/2141784/

They don't talk about it long, but there it is.  Alligators, eating people in Florida.  Angry chimpanzees.  Add to this list my own: a gigantic, man-eating bear killed in Alaska with two or three missing campers in his belly (it took a semi-automatic to bring him down, he must have been very determined): A documentary I watched recently about elephants who were constantly raiding farming villages in India, and literally concertedly and purposefully attempting to pull people out of their beds, ignoring food-stocks.  I have to wonder.  If I were the elephants, I'd be angry too-- and none of the villages have any doubt, it's a war now.  (The scientists doubt, but that's the scientists' job... lets hope they don't take it too far.

How long till your pet dog catches on?

Perhaps I'm being morbid, I just recorded a song with my bandmate called "Parasites," which he wrote, in which he dies and sees God.  He asks god for the meaning of life, and God says "we are parasites on the earth."  He may believe this, I sincerely hope it's not true, but I am beginning to think perhaps the alligators agree?  Silly, I know.  Alligators have tiny brains.  But, I have no doubt about the elephants.  I wish I could show everyone that documentary.

On another note, I have to figure out how to have more people actually read this, maybe.  I'm ok with blogging in silence-- well, I'm more comfortable with that in a way than a huge readership-- but it seems a bit pointless.  Well, all things in time, all things in their way, I suppose.

Dear Alan,

From MAI* perspective, the elemental and animal kingdoms are responding to man's imbalances and break with his natural Diving heritage.  We are, enmasse, identifying ourselves as physical bodies with ego urges, not as Indwelling Spirits in physical vehicles, and, consequently, intensifying our separation from our Unity of Oneness Source.  In our “drunken and lost states”, we are very confused and acting in parasitic ways creating quite an imbalance within nature who is compensating and out picturing what we are ignoring.  We are very oriented to, what I like to call, the “me-myself-nobody-else syndrome” which is a disease of magnifying separation.

The wholism of nature, congruent with God, is ever seeking balance. Humanity keeps upping the ante, and the wholism is having to adjust for the increasing imbalances we are creating, “without a care” of the consequences.

I don't see humans as parasites, just acting that way, as well as, being Very irresponsible and narcissistic. WEi are essentially Light and Love, albeit, we are running from our TRUE natures and creating “hardships” for our disowned animal brothers.

Since we are one with nature, (Our being aware or not does not change this being so/TRUE.) nature is aligned with this unity, and, unlike the bulk of the human race, is not choosing to resist our innate communion.  Animal life accepts and lives what the reality is.  However, mankind, so externally oriented and demanding of separation reality, is having an impact upon the rest of our ignored union, namely, the nature world.

This sign of unusual aggression from the animal kingdom, signals to me that humanity's abdication of our part in this Oneness, is creating an imbalance and pressure that the other aspects of the nature kingdom are sensing, and they are nudging us to be more aware and responsive and “get with the program.”  It seems we've reached some sort of tipping point in our “garbage dumping” within the collective, and the collective is confronting us with a big, “STOP IT!”  I say, “Good for them, Charge on, my friends, we need a wake-up call!”

I understand that nature must also absorb our imbalances so that a balance point can continue to be maintained.  Since animals are not resisting the natural order, they are not rejecting the “burden they carry” at man's hand.  But, apparently, recent events are suggesting they are not liking what we are ignorantly foisting upon them, and we are being confronted.

How does this sound to you?

All to Love,

Sharon

With some differences, Sharon's is my perspective too. People might start asking “What is making these animals so angry? WHY are they attacking? What is really going on here?” And the answers might change the ways of the people who bother to get the answers. And I believe the planet and all its Beings is in an evolution-of-consciousness project so that this changing of awareness and of ways IS happening, and will continue to happen, on a widening scale.

Some people are ACTING like parasites, and some people wouldn't even mind being that, but from my perspective GOD would have more to say on the subject than that, a bigger picture, about the reasons for it ALL. And “parasites” would be a description, not a condemnation.

If you love your family dog, I don't think fear-based generalizations are useful for you. In fact…..

Sharon and Vector - I think you both state your points very very well.  There was a time before last year that I viewed my 'pets' as just that.  And nothing wrong with that as I took/take very good care of them.  Without a long story of the past year, I can just say now that I honestly put weight into their 'being' as I see it now as part of 'my being' also.  They are more then a pet… as all nature and all things are more then just that.  We are part of the 'greater' and I can't discount the animal world as anything less then included fully and if not more so then human.  That includes plant life, metals, crystal, etc… all all things 'speak'.  Inlcuding perhaps the body… our own bodies to 'us'.   I've been lost to both sides exclusively and thought for short times that all the bliss was there or there.  All the bliss, imo, is to include all the theres and as much as we are all moving to understand something called 'oneness'… I found myself reaching so far for that, that I forgot about the 'hereness' of that oneness too.  Back to balance.  Bravo to you both and to Alan for his writing… it's all good food for soul.  Thanks again!
